BisAcrylamide

Bisacrylamide is a crosslinking agent used with acrylamide to form polyacrylamide gels for electrophoresis. It links acrylamide molecules together, creating a network that determines the gel’s porosity and enables the separation of proteins or nucleic acids by size. Adjusting the concentration of bisacrylamide allows control over the gel’s rigidity and pore size for different applications.
