Chemiluminiscent Substrate

A chemiluminescent substrate is a reagent used in blotting techniques, such as Western blotting, to detect specific proteins. It reacts with an enzyme, typically horseradish peroxidase (HRP), that is conjugated to the antibody or probe. This reaction produces light (luminescence), which can be captured using a chemiluminescence imaging system, allowing for the visualization and quantification of the target protein.
